1) We believe in God, the Father Almighty, Creator of heaven and earth.
2) We believe in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord, who was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, was crucified, died, and was buried; On the third day he rose again; he ascended into heaven, he is seated at the right hand of the Father, and he will come to judge the living and the dead.
3) We believe in the Holy Spirit, spiritual unity of all born-again believers in Christ Jesus, the forgiveness of sins, the resurrection of the body, and the life everlasting.
4) We believe the Holy Bible is God's living Word, and the accounts of Jesus' life gives us a living example of how we too are to live our lives.
Jesus' priorities for children and the outcast are clear in the following scriptures:
'When Jesus saw what was happening, he was angry with his disciples. He said to them, “Let the children come to me. Don’t stop them! For the Kingdom of God belongs to those who are like these children”.'
Mark 10:14
'Holding her hand, he (Jesus) said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means “Little girl, get up!” '
Mark 5:41
'Defend the cause of the poor and the orphan; uphold the rights of the weak and oppressed.'
Psalm 82:3
'...Once our eyes are opened we can't pretend we don't know what to do. God, who weighs our hearts and keeps our souls, knows that we know and holds us responsible to act."
Proverbs 24:12
'the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised to life, and the Good News is being preached to the poor.'
Matthew 11:5
'Then he (Jesus) put a little child among them. Taking the child in his arms, he said to them, "Whoever embraces one of these children as I do embraces me, and far more than me—God who sent me."
Mark 9:33-37
'But how can people call for help if they don't know who to trust? And how can they know who to trust if they haven't heard of the One who can be trusted? And how can they hear if nobody tells them? And how is anyone going to tell them, unless someone is sent to do it? That's why Scripture exclaims, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring Good News!"
